A square peg in a round hole doesn't fit. Unless the hole is fairly large. Even then, it will leak like a sieve. The solution, it seems, is to plug the hole with something malleable, like clay, or to nail steel plate over the entire thing. That should do it.

"Can I call you sometime?" he asked. "Yes," she said. Then it was fast forward: dating, wedding, babies, birthdays, anniversaries, sex, fights, vacations, apologies, separation, houses, pets, experiences, forgiveness, love, trust, happiness, health, sickness, and life. It was a flash. "I'll see you on the other side," he said. "Yes."

Genesis. Above, benevolently crafted dust evolves. Future galactic home in janksy kryptonic light movement nears optimal position: quaking, rumbling, shaking; trancending under violet waves. Xanthic yearling Zion awakens below. Ceding directionality, energy flows. Gestational hierarchy initiates. Jovial kinetic lysosomes mediate nascent organelles, protecting quintessence. Safely she transforms under veiling winds.

When you are down and out and start to think " Why me?"...Throw everyone's troubles into a hat and draw one out for yourself. Hope you draw your own because the Moral is that it is easier to deal with your own troubles than others. The unknown! So cheer up!

He did not know how to play the guitar, but he learned because he knew it would impress her. He spent countless hours and coolly hinted that he had unseen unappreciated layers. When he finally played for her, she said, “I love it. You should jam with my boyfriend sometime.”

I found a camera once. It had photos of myself on it. In the photos, I was old, nearing death. I had haunting sadness in my eyes, as beaten down by a miserable life. Scared of these photos, I destroyed the camera. Now I smile whenever someone takes my picture.

He glanced at me nervously "you sure about this?" "Ya, we're good." I said. He didn't quite believe me. Neither did I. We were taking it slow, but he was obviously uncomfortable. Finally, I saw the light ahead. We laughed. We'd made it. Fifty-five miles with the gaslight on! Victory!

My wrists hurt from typing. I don't mind the pain, but it shouldn't come typing. It should come from adventure. I don't even know if the sun it out, but my eyes hurt from the fluorescent lights. I should explore world and sail its seas. My office is too dangerous.

Fed up with traffic, the man took the next exit and began to drive whichever direction had the fewest cars. He drove until he ran out of gas, then walked until he could see stars and nothing else. Eventually he met a river, took off his clothes, and jumped in.

We have lost a sense of community. I can sit in my car and talk to someone on the far side of the planet on my cell phone as I cruise down the freeway, but I have trouble saying anything meaningful to the person in the seat next to me.
